The Tax Office for Corporations I in Berlin has recognised the DSB as a non-profit organisation. According to its articles of association, the corporation exclusively and directly promotes art and culture in accordance with §§ 51 ff. AO, the corporation exclusively and directly promotes the advancement of art and culture (§ 52 para. 2 sentence 1 no.(n) 5 AO).

The Deutsche Sinfonietta is authorised to issue donation receipts in accordance with Section 50 (1) EStDV for donations made to it for use for these purposes. This makes it possible for sponsors to deduct donations to the DSB from their income tax according to the rules of §51 ff.
